I can't get funding for my project...

And yet these people get to search for the Loch Ness monster.

perhaps the moral of all these I can't believe they got funded for that items, is that we should include some utterly ridiculous goal into our funding applications.

i.e. The chemicals in the Choptank are causing bacteria to mutate into giant human sized blobs that can leap out of the river and devour whole cars, we must stop them!!!

I'll keep that in mind for my proposal

Terrorists are planning to fly airplanes over the US coastline dropping tons of water laced with some chemical that only becomes a dangerous toxin when mixed with seawater by way of submarine groundwater discharge, which will kill off all plant and animal life in the coastal oceans and turn the water to the consistency and color of orange jell-o, thus decimating both coastal fisheries AND beach tourism, creating the total economic collapse of all coastal states and perhaps the entire nation.
