since owen never contributes or probably even reads our house blog anymore, i am tempted to rename it, "the lovely ladies of beacon hill." any other suggestions?
in the meantime, you crafty young whippersnapper girls can take a stab (no pun intended) at some of these. i am still the old fart of the house, so i might have to get my eyes checked to make sure i don't need bifocals before i start poking pumpkins with knives and such... xo.

as far as a name change, ok but lovely ladies made the song from Les Miserables pop into my head, and it's about prostitutes, but that's probably just my brain at work.
Changing the name of the blog would be a stupid thing to do.

I'm soooooo excited about halloween this year. I was actually thinking about getting a whole bunch of little pumpkins and carving a simple design on them and lining the wall next to the driveway with them to make our house more inviting to trick or treaters.
okay, but then you have to make sure there's enough candy for all the trick-or-treaters you're attracting! or better yet, enough tricks.
also, the reemergence and the talk of the song about prostitutes inspired me to want to change the name to "Owen's pimp mansion." but fine, for now i will change nothing. i am glad to see we haven't completely lost our favorite man of the house.
